Commercials
The commercials — sometimes referred to as pricing — is the financial part of your submission. It sets out how the service will be priced and is submitted alongside your quality responses.
How it works
Commercials vary depending on the tender.
Some tenders set a fixed rate. Others require you to submit your own rates using a provided template.
For DPS and Framework tenders, this is usually an hourly rate. For larger NHS contracts, it may include staffing costs, overheads and margins.
The method and scoring weighting will be set out in the tender documentation.
Commercial scoring
💰 Quality carries more weight than price in most care sector tenders. The technical responses are where outcomes are determined. Support with this is included as part of every submission.
What we do
🍃
What’s covered
Completing the commercial section is part of our compliance work.
✓ We ensure the schedule is completed accurately and nothing is left blank
✓ Figures are entered in the correct fields
✓ The submission meets the formatting requirements
What to prepare
You will need to know your organisation’s costings before the commercial section can be completed. We confirm exactly what is needed once we have reviewed the tender documentation.
How we cover commercials

We go through the commercial documentation with you and hand over any templates that require your input. If you have questions, we are on hand throughout. Where queries need to go to the procuring body, we raise them through the formal clarification question process.
